Contains 3 Gastropods such as the Sea Hare (shown on the left), an Aeolid Nudibranch such as Hermissenda crassicornis, and the Sea Lemon, Anisodoris noblis.

Three Gastropods such as the Chestnut Cowrie, Cypraea spadicea, Wavy Top Snail, Astraea undosa, and Kellet's Whelk, Kelletia kelletii.

Plus 3 more Gastropods such as the Seaweed Limpet, Notoacmea insessa, an Owl Limpet, Lottia gigantea, and the Ribbed Limpet, Collisella digitalis.

Collection may contain substrate and food items whenever possible. The specimens will be shipped with a minimum of seawater to keep shipping costs low, and may contain substitutions with equivalent specimens. Please order a minimum of two weeks in advance. Our collections contain common and abundant specimens. The California Dept. of Fish & Game has restricted some organisms such as urchins and sea cucumbers, these abundandant and useful organisms require Scientific Collector's Permits in order to receive these specimens.

Cnidarian Collection

This Collection contains representatives several Classes but mostly Anthozoans which are hearty and ship easily; the Proliferating Anemone, Epiactis prolifera and offspring when available (shown on the left with offspring), the Orange Cup Coral (shown left below Epiactis), Balanophyllia elegans, the Ostrich Plume Hydroid, Plumularia sp., the Aggregating Anemone, Anthopleura elegantissima, and the Strawberry Anemone, Corynactis californica. Other Hydroids may be available and may be included.

This Collection costs $65.00 including insulated shipping carton and packing, F.O.B. Anthopleura xanthogrammica or A. sola may be substituted for Anthopleura elegantissima. Shipping Via FedEx Priority Overnight is extra. Cost varies with distance and weight. Please order a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Echinoderm Collection

This Collection contains 2 Bat Stars, Astarina miniata, 2 Ochre Star, Pisaster ochraceus, 1 Leather Star, Dermastaria imbricata, 3 Ophioplocus esmarki (brittle stars) shown at left below the Bat Star, and 3 Sand Dollars, Dendraster excentricus.

Upon Delivery Failure we will make one replacement but all shipping costs must be borne by the Purchaser/Institutional Buyer. Please note that weather-caused delays or delivery failures are not covered by FedEx's refund policy.

In addition, shipping Monday is often more risky than shipping on Tuesday or later in the week so please plan accordingly!
